What to expect when you visit:

You will get comfortable and we will use a small handpiece that delivers gentle bursts of energy to targeted areas. It’s that easy and you’re in-and-out quickly.

Some patients may feel a slight discomfort during treatment but because the GentleMax uses a cooling technology, that usually doesn’t last very long.  

How many treatments will I need?

Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal. Hair grows in three stages:

  1. Anagen: The growth stage, when a strand of hair is thickest & darkest (this is when laser treatments are the most effective)
  2. Catagen: The transitional stage when a strand of hair begins to loosen from the follicle
  3. Telogen: When the strand of hair sheds, or falls out and is replaced by a new hair

The hair on your body is not always in the same stage which is why you need 6-8 treatments (4-6 weeks apart) to target them all in the growth stage.
